Mobile security patrols
Not every site needs a guard all night. Mobile patrols give you a visible security presence at a lower cost. Our officers visit at varied times, so the pattern cannot be predicted, and on each visit they:
- Check doors, windows, shutters, gates and fences.
- Walk the perimeter and look for signs of attempted entry.
- Carry out internal checks where agreed, including lock-up and unlock.
- Report every visit with times and findings.
Key holding and alarm response
When your intruder or fire alarm activates, the police may not attend, and calling a member of staff out at night carries risk. With our key holding service your keys are stored securely and coded so they cannot be linked to your address if lost. When the alarm goes off, our response officer attends, checks the premises, resets the alarm where possible and arranges any emergency repairs or board-up.
Why BS 7984 matters
BS 7984 is the British Standard for keyholding and response services. It covers how keys are stored and controlled, how alarm calls are received and handled, how quickly officers should attend, and how incidents are reported. Working to this standard gives you a consistent, accountable response.
| Service | Best for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile patrols | Offices, yards, retail units, vacant buildings | Random visits with a written report |
| Lock and unlock | Businesses with early or late opening | An officer opens or secures the premises |
| Key holding | Any premises with an alarm | Secure, coded key storage |
| Alarm response | Sites with monitored alarms | An officer attends activations and reports back |
Residential and vacant properties
Patrols and key holding also suit homeowners who travel and landlords with empty property. For buildings that will stay vacant for weeks or months, see our vacant property security service.

Mobile Patrols & Key Holding FAQs
What is a keyholder?
A keyholder is a person or company that holds keys to a property and attends when the alarm activates. A professional keyholding company takes on that role so you and your staff do not have to.
Are my keys kept safe?
Yes. Keys are stored securely and coded so they cannot be linked to your address if they were ever lost.
Do patrol officers need an SIA licence?
Yes. Contracted key holding and security patrols are licensable activities. Our officers hold the relevant SIA licence.
Can you patrol my home while I am away?
Yes. We provide residential patrols and key holding for homeowners who travel or own second homes.
